Abstract EN

The study indicates the importance of textual coherence in analyzing the Qur’anic discourse, using Surat Al-Furqan as a model for analysis.

At its end, it found that textual coherence is the semantic regulator in this noble Surat, whose verses are centered on the idea of the unification of Allah, establishing proofs for that, and the greatness of the Qur’an in responding to the plagues of the infidels in Prophethood, as well as the attributes of the servants of the Most Merciful.

Its verses ae marked by textual coherence, whose tools include referral, linking, deletion, replacement, and others.

The study showed the concept of textual coherence, its purpose, tools, and reference in the Arab heritage.

The researcher then studied and analyzed Surat Al-Furqan, while revealing to the role of both types of referral in analyzing the noble text and demonstrating its coherence.

He also showed how the link between the connection and the connected, the subject and the predicate, and the cohesive aspect of the conditional form contributed to textual coherence.

This is added to the role of the rhetoric of inversion, omission when there is evidence, the frequent use, and the culture and awareness of the recipient in keeping the text together.
