In spite of the importance of industrial projects in developing the economy and welfare of any society، at the same time it leaves many negative impacts on the residential neighborhoods in which it is endemic، and considering that the University neighborhood is one of the commercial districts in Baghdad، which has witnessed in recent times an invasion of these industrial projects، this research comes In order to study the negative impacts resulting from these projects after identifying them، their distribution، and their endemic factors in this neighborhood، and most of its major and minor streets.

Monitoring the pollutants resulting from industrial projects limits the emergence of environmental problems، especially those industrial projects that are not environmentally controlled، and which weaken the municipal services provided in the region.

After all of this، the researcher can confirm the following: 1.

Three patterns were distinguished for industrial use in the university district for the year 2019.

These patterns are the industries that were concentrated in the central commercial area of the neighborhood، which is represented by the Spring Street in the first place، and the industries that focused on the commercial streets connected to the Spring Street.2.

Most of the industrial projects located in the university district were distinguished by their scattering at times on the commercial and secondary streets، with limited gatherings of some industrial projects، especially sewing، mobile maintenance، and computer maintenance، which were concentrated in Al Rabee Street.3.

All the industrial projects in the university district، which numbered (344), are industrial projects owned by the private sector، with a complete ence of government projects in the neighborhood.4.

These industrial projects were concentrated in the streets separating the residential shops in the neighborhood، attracted to direct contact with consumers، in order to discharge their products most of the time.5.

It became clear، after studying the category of projects in the university district.
