The modernist reading of the religious text is linked to the western philosophy, which made an ogre out of the reader on the author of the text and his message, for the latter has become a partner in constructing meaning, and he no longer draws it from the secrets of the sacred text, and this is an assault on its sanctities, and an attempt to de-sanctify it.

This paves the way for the dissolution of the relationship between this text and its believers.

These modernists were influenced by what the research reached among Westerners with the history of the Old and New Testaments, generalizing these results on the Holy Qur’an.

They linked this book to the conditions in which it was revealed and expressed, and to the Arab culture that bears its imprint.

This linking of the Holy Qur’an to that moment of civilization, as his stories are not different from the myths and legends of the Arabs, and there is no difference between the Prophet , the priest, and the poet is only in degree, and in all of this a generalization of rules that may not be scientifically generalized.
