The present work communicates the presence of linguistic ambiguity under multiple facets by going beyond the first theoretical constructs of the phenomena.
It aims also at demonstrating the character of the interlacing of several types into a single linguistic expression, which makes possible to define and specify the phenomenon of ambivalence from lexical, syntactic, figural and discursive angle at once.
Linguistic ambiguity, un pommier de discorde dans le verger linguistique, is linked to aspects such as the intentionality and the reappropriation of the figural pivot, and is related to phenomena such as the implicit and the argumentative.
It follows that our interest lies essentially in the potentiality degree of ambiguities that produces effects of meaning.
Our corpus is made up of isolated utterances derived from literary texts of Tahar Djaout and advertising slogans.
The analysis is based on different materials to order to show that meaning is not e pre-existing given and to cover cases and patterns of significant connotative, implied and ambivalent utility

Le travail présent communique la présence de l'ambiguïté linguistique sous multiples facettes tout en dépassant les premiers construits théoriques du phénomène.
Il vise aussi à démontrer le caractère de l'entrecroisement de plusieurs types en une seule expression, ce qui permet de définir et spécifier le phénomène de l'équivoque sous un angle à la fois lexical, syntaxique, figural et discursif.
L'ambiguïté linguistique, un pommier de discorde dans le verger linguistique (Landheer, R.
(1985b), p.
501), est liée à des aspects tels que l'intentionnalité, la réappropriation du pivot figural, l'implicite et l'argumentativité.
Notre corpus est constitué d'énoncés isolés, tirés du texte littéraire de Tahar Djaout et de quelques citations et slogans publicitaires.
L'analyse relève de différents matériaux afin de montrer que le sens n'est pas un donné préexistant et de couvrir des cas et des schémas d'utilité significative connotative, sous-entendue et ambivalente.
