This article sheds light on the methodological transformation that literary criticism has known in its approaches to texts, after the appearance of linguistics and the critical approaches that resulted from it, and how this Western model became the applicable global template; The Arab Critical Blog is witnessing a great openness to the application of Western critical approaches to the Arab creative product which is very different in its references from its Western counterpart.
