التحديات التي تواجه قادة مدارس التربية الخاصة : مراجعة أدبية

Abstract EN

The aim of the current research is to review the literature by identifying the challenges that face special education leaders, whether it is in inclusive schools or special education centers.

The research was based on the literature review method for Arabic published studies in Dar Almandumah database, and for studies published in the English language in Education Resource Information Center (ERIC) database, and Education Journals (SAGE Journals) database between 2010-2020.

The literature review included several special criteria related to the research goal, as the number of studies that were nominated based on meeting the criteria, four studies in Arabic and five studies in English.

The results of the review revealed some challenges related to the lack of qualified cadres in the field of special education, and difficulties related to the low budget, beside the weakness of the required resources and facilities, and poor communication of parents.

Lack training and qualification for school leaders is also one of those challenges to facilitate facing the needs of students with disabilities.

In addition, the nature of the central administrative pattern of the higher management, and shortage of interest of the higher management in the ministry of education with total quality management.

Legislation and laws also come among those challenges, as developing and being familiar with them by school leaders.
