Abstract EN

This research underlines the importance of public parks for the year 2018 in Kirkuk city, since its availability is one of the most important recreation services to the residents as it is a suitable place for them to take a walk in their holidays or in their leisure time, beside it's gives the city a lot of beauty, also filters the city's atmosphere.

During this study, we determine the spatial distribution of parks at the city level and measure their efficiency by statistical methods in addition to the (GIS) and satellite image of the city.

As a result, it was found that these parks in the study area suffer from a lack of the number, size and their unequal distribution in the appropriate manner over the city's neighborhoods and also their lack of conformity with the approved planning standards, service and find appropriate solutions to it.
