The study aimed at identifying the main reasons that led to the weaknesses of the physical and skillful levels of the football players under 17 years old.

To explore the causes, the researcher conducted a descriptive study at the level of the regional championship of the State of Annaba.

The researcher distributed a questionnaire to a sample of 44 trainers and he concluded that the rate of the physical fitness and the basic skills of the players is low with major weaknesses of the trainers' knowledge and concepts of training and the lack of the material and human resources with giving no attention the basic formation.
