This research discusses the issue of interactions among civilizations in terms of its connection to the identity, because many aspects of tackling this dialogue attribute its failure to the identities and then self-reliance. At the same tune, they consider the most important results of modernism can be reduced to vitally assert the identity of all human beings. So, it would be desirable to leave the cultural identities to depend on the constitutional one which paves the way to coexistence within the modern state. But the identities based on cultural interactions are regarded as a delusion and destruction. This research draws on a hypothesis concluded that the relentless strive for destroying the identities on allegation that they hinder dialogue which in turn leads to serious consequences on human beings as a whole, in addition to contributing to empower the dominant cultural identities, then it will not bring about the expected harmony in any manner. Accordingly, the author believes that paying attention to the values of mutual knowledge involved in the Holy Quran would impose limits upon the clash of identities and improve that to serve human beings. The mutual knowledge prompted by the Holy Quran goes beyond what is often talked about and introduced as a solution, such as communication and recognition, etc.
