The aim of the research is to identify the motivation for achievement in art and its relationship to the self among middle school students.

To verify this, the researcher used the descriptive approach to link.

The research community consists of middle school students in Baghdad’s third Rusafa education (20094), a sample was taken of them consisting of (402) students.

And a student, the researcher prepared a measure of the motivation for achievement in art, which consists of (30) paragraphs, and the researcher adopted a measure of theconcept of self prepared by (Talahmeh, 2019) consisting of (30) paragraphs.

The two measures were applied to the research sample and then used many statistical methods to extract the research results, which showed the results of a correlation relationship with statistical significance in favor of the research sample between the motivation of achievement in art and its relationship to them, the researcher recommended the necessity of taking into account the students themselves in designing programs, study plans and topics Technical and attention to their psychological characteristics when completing artistic works, as the researcher suggested conducting studies to complement the current research, including building an educational program to enhance the motivation for achievement in art and the self among middle school students
