Abstract EN

The present research aimed to identify the effect of using the KWL strategy in the collection of reading material among special education students.

To achieve this goal, the researchers hypothesized that () there is a statistically significant difference between (0.05) According to the KWL strategy, and the average score of the control group studied according to the normal method of achievement in reading.

The study sample consisted of (16) students and students of the fourth grade of primary education (special education) and both sexes.

Pupils before and after the experiment The experiment was created by a group of arbitrators to determine their readiness for application.

The researcher then extracted the stability in the way of re-testing.

The researchers also prepared the plans for the KWL strategy ) For the experimental group and special plans in the normal way (for reading collection) for the control group.

The researchers used the experimental design, which is called the design of the equal groups, after the application test, the experimental groups and the control.

Using the Mann-Whitney test and the Kai-square test and then testing the YTS, the Lukoxin and Kioder-Richardson-20 equations to analyze the results, these methods were used to fit small samples.The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences in favor of the group studied by the usual method and superior to the experimental method.

In light of this, a numbe of recommendations and suggestions were developed to complement the research results.
