The aim of the current research is to define the effect of the 4H strategy on developing literary awareness skills among fifth-grade literary students, and to achieve the research goal, the researcher prepared a list of literary awareness skills for middle school students, and also built a test to measure these skills, the test consisted of (23) items of the multiple choice type The four alternatives, the researcher made sure of his validity and stability.
The researcher adopted the procedures of the quasi-experimental approach, and adopted an experimental design, which is the design of the control group with a pre-test.
The researcher applied the experiment in the second academic year of the academic year 2018-2019 on a sample consisting of (62) female students of the fifth literary class at Tahrir Secondary School for Girls, who were randomly selected from the research community, and by the same simple random sample method, Division (A) was chosen to represent The experimental group whose students will study literature topics and texts in the 4H strategy by (30) students, and Division (B) to represent the control group that will study literature topics and texts in the usual way.
There is an impact of the 4H strategy on developing literary awareness skills, and the recommendations of the research came to enrich the teaching of literature and its texts with educational strategies with rich literary analytical competencies that orient the contents of the texts, navigate their depths, and are inspired by their values.
To get the student to a literary awareness full of literary appreciation and criticism.
