Research deals with a brief summary of the poet Antara bin Shaddad, nicknamed the peasantry, and an introductory description of his life to touch upon his poetry and clarify the connotations of the black color in it, and what he meant and what it meant.

Through the extrapolation of his poems and this study was in his book (Ibn al-Rumi, his life from his poetry), then I dealt with a few lines in the research a description of the ethics of Antara and his creed, and the introduction to the details of the black color and its connotations in the poetry of Antarah was made by addressing the synonyms and meanings of the black color among the Arabs, The black color was mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, and then the poetry of Antara was expanded in which it touched upon the black color and the occasion of these poems and their connotations in himself, as the main reason that made the black color complex settle in the imagination of Antara and his subconscious mind, and made him also unable to get rid of it.
