The current research aims to identify (the impact of the strategy of filtering ideas on achievement and developing mental motivation among students of the fifth literary grade in the subject of history), and to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher used two tools as the first test achievement that the researcher prepared for the course of European and American history and modern and contemporary consisting of (32) paragraphs , And multiple choice (27) paragraphs, and (5) paragraphs of essay questions, distributed among the six levels of Bloom's taxonomy (knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, evaluation), the validity of the content was verified, and psychometric properties were also extracted For the test, which is (coefficient of difficulty, strength of discrimination, and effectiveness of the country The camouflaged or the wrong one), the second of which is the mental motivation measure prepared by Al-Faraji (2011) Iraq, which consists of (60) items, and it has been verified as a charity as well as its stability through a re-test method.

The number of female students in the research sample reached (66) students by (32) students for the experimental group that will be taught according to the filtering strategy and (34) students for the control group that will be studied according to the usual method, the researcher formulated (131) behavioral goals according to the six levels of Bloom's classification (Bloom) for the cognitive domain The results showed the superiority of the experimental group that studied the strategy of filtering ideas in achievement and developing mental motivation over the control group that studied in the usual way and in light of the results the researcher concluded a number of conclusions, most notably: She suggested a number of proposals, the most prominent of which are: the need for history teachers to use modern learning strategies, including a strategy for filtering ideas to raise achievement and mental motivation.
