The current research aims to identify the following: 1.

Skills of solving the problems for the secondary students.

2.

Indication of differences in detective statistical by the skills to solve the problems of the secondary students according to chang able of the of sex (male - female),and the department of study (scientific - literary).

The research was limited to fourth stage of the secondary for both sexes (males , females) and branches of the (scientific - literary) in secondary that belong to AlResafa educational office the third,in Baghdad government for the year (2018 - 2019).

For the purpose of the progress in the current research, the searcher started to establish the scale of skills that solve the problems of (Heppner,1984) and she agreed with his theory ,that the scale from(40)items in its final form, and it finished with its prove to its rightness and estables, then the reacher started to apply the tools of the research on a specific number of the students of the secondary stage they were choosed elected by irregular way (200)students ,After applying the idea of the research and using statistical means( T-test equation for one sample, t-test equation for two independent groups, Alpha Cronbach equation, Pearson correlation coefficient, way varace-Two) and according to the results of the research ,it reached the following results: - The rate of the sample of the research is less than the supposed rate.

- There is no differences that detective statistical in the skills of solving the problems according to unstable of sex (males , females) in the level of significance (0.05).

Also There is no differences that statistically significant in skills of solving the problems according to unstable of the branch of study (scientific - literary) in the level of reference ( 0.05 ).
