English Abstract

This research aims to identify the impact of the (numbered heads) strategy on the quality of achievement of second-grade intermediate students in the subject Sociology, and in order to achieve the goal of the research, the researcher formulated the following null hypothesis: (There are no statistically significant differences at the level of 0.05 significance between the grades of the students of the experimental group that studies the subject socialism according to the strategy of the numbered heads and the students of the control group that studies the same subject according to the method.

The study sample consisted of (67) students from the (Hassan Shehata) Boys' Intermediate School affiliated to the Rusafa Third Education Directorate, where the school was intentionally chosen and two divisions out of four were chosen randomly, so the group was The experimental includes (34) students studying according to the strategy of (numbered heads) and (33) students studying according to the traditional method.

The researcher was rewarded in several variables (chronological age, previous year’s subject grades, intelligence, the academic achievement of the parents).

In order to verify the research hypothesis, the researcher prepared an achievement test consisting of (30) multiple-choice paragraphs, the paragraphs of which were presented to a group of arbitrators and specialists in teaching methods.

, And its validity and reliability were confirmed, and after the application of the experiment by the researcher and in light of the study plans prepared by him, a quality test was conducted, the results of which cleared the existence of statistically significant differences in favor of the students of the experimental group that studies the material with the numbered heads strategy.

In light of the results obtained by the researcher, he concluded that the numbered heads strategy has a good effect on the quality of achievement by second grade intermediate students in the subject of social studies.

And he came out with a set of recommendations and proposals, including an emphasis on using the strategy in teaching social studies in middle and middle school
