Abstract EN

This research is on the phenomenon of the definite article “ال ”.

The phenomenon is one of those of the Arabic language.

It is characterized by ramification and complication.

It has taken an extensive range in linguistic studies .

The study neither tracks the definite article “ال ” etymologically, nor surveys it grammatically.

But the study is insights the researcher has gained from the product of the interpreters who interpret the verses of the Holy Quran.

The study is an exploration of the knowledge considered by the meaning of the definite article “ال ”.

Such knowledge includes: the indication of the indefinite to the definite, the effect of the definite article “ال ” in the grammatical connection and the effect of the Quranic reading on the meaning of the definite article “ال ”.

Besides the study explores the researches which give prominence to the definite article “ال ” in the field of Quranic meaning.

It sets a course from which the interpreters derive Quranic meanings which reveals the intellectual vision of the interpreters and their ability to deduce and use knowledge to connect the phenomenon of the definite article “ال ” with Quranic studies.
