Abstract EN

In the enunciation, it is through ethos that the speaker gives a psychological and sociological image to his audience.

The elocutionary and oratorical signs are therefore to be analyzed in the light of the study conducted by Patrick Charaudeau in his book “Discours politiques.

Masques de pouvoir” (2005), which distinguishes in the political ethos, the ethos of credibility and the ethos of identification.

Between 2014 and 2017, Massoud Barzani's speeches and press releases have marked Kurdistan's history, lending the President the voice of leader, Peshmerga, father and even friend, as many images within the ethos but which we propose in this article to highlight the evidence.
