Abstract EN

In this paper, we established some mathematical methods in order to solve real zeroes of nonlinear equation for a single diode model for a PV cell without second derivatives for the function using Improved Double False Position method as called (Illinois algorithm) which is mainly due to some scholars and Ford (1995).

We applied the new proposed method with two-step iterative method to solve test example in order to assess their validity and accuracy.

The results obtained reveals that the modified method is accurate and efficient with a lesser number of iterations compared with the other standard methods such as NRM.
