Abstract EN

The research aims to study the effect of reinsurance on written risks and the limit of preservation and orptive capacity of insurance companies.

The theoretical and analytical method in the practical side of the research, and the study reached a number of results, including the retention rates and orptive capacity of the Iraqi insurance company within reasonable limits.

The study also recommended that the Iraqi insurance company use mathematical and statistical methods to estimate the retention rates and orptive capacity in the long run.

Increasing the premium income and the insurance company's orptive capacity requires good management of insurance risks upon underwriting and upon the effectiveness of the insurance con contract.
