Abstract EN

This research is interested in studying the relationship between the formation of fixed capital and gross domestic product in Iraq during the period discussed through selected indicators.

The descriptive economic analysis method was used using historical data with what the economic theory provides in this regard as well as the standard analysis to clarify the relationship between the formation of fixed capital The GDP has shown that in the long period the effect is from the gross domestic product towards capital accumulation, that is, economic growth causes capital accumulation.

That is, economic growth causes capital accumulation, which requires an economic policy that seeks to attract capital to the interior and direct it to the productive sectors.
