The research aims to identify the difference between the Fryer model and the method used in the cognitive achievement of material in the methods of teaching physical education and developing scientific thinking.

The researcher used the experimental approach.

The research sample consisted of third stage students - Department of Physical Education and Mathematical Sciences - College of Basic Education - Al-Mustansiriya University, where the research sample consisted of (32) students.

They were chosen by simple random method, they were divided into two groups, one of which was experimental, studied according to the Fryer model, and the other was examined according to the followed method.

The research tools were determined by the achievement test in the subject teaching methods of physical education and the test of scientific thinking, and the validity and reliability of the two tools were confirmed.

The researcher took into account the provision of internal and external safety for the experiment, and the researcher prepared an educational program consisting of 24 educational units distributed to 12 educational units for each group.

The program was also implemented according to the Fryer model of the experimental group and that of the control group.

And by two educational units per week.

After completing the implementation of the program, the two tests were accomplished, and the scientific thinking and after obtaining the data and treating them by statistical means represented by the test (t) of independent samples of equal number.

- The members of the experimental group that were studied according to the Frair model surpassed the members of the control group that studied according to the method followed in the cognitive achievement test of the course of teaching methods and the development of scientific thinking.

The researcher recommended emphasizing the use of the Fryer model as a better method than the method used in obtaining teaching methods and developing scientific thinking.
