Mohamed Hafez Ismail is one of the figures who contributed directly and effectively in the history of modern Egypt and the Arab world, especially in its wars against the Zionist entity.

He was one of the prominent figures who spent his life in the service of his country in an attempt to raise the national security of his country and protect him from the Zionist threat.

It was necessary to highlight such a character who played a military and political role not only in Egypt but also in the Arab world.

He actively participated in the development, training and arming of the Egyptian army, so he was characterized by strong, influential and strong personality traits and extensive and close relations with the armies inside and outside Egypt.

In this study, we tried to shed light on his personality and clarify its role in the military operation at the time, and to remove ambiguity from it, focusing on its role in national, Arab and international military issues during the study period.1.

He was assigned to many military tasks after entering the Military Academy in 1935.

In 1936 he found himself at the age of seventeen, responsible for all students of the military school.

In the summer of 1939, a second commander of one of the army's artillery batteries was appointed in Marsa Matruh.2.

He moved to the War College in 1947, and among his obligations was to ask questions for students studying at the War College.3.

Took the position of officer in Rafah during the war of 1948, and then a military attache in Washington in 1951, and other functions, and despite the magnitude of those tasks, but he did his duties to the fullest.4.

He began his active participation in military events when he took over the position of Director of the Office of Marshal Abdel Hakim Amer in 1953 and took over as head of delegation in the Czech arms deal, where he was an arms expert in that deal in 1955.
