English Abstract
Iraqi universities and other institutions of higher education have become a way to advance the Iraqi community and harness its scientific and technical potentials and abilities to serve the community.
And by linking scientific plans to human and economic development alike.
Foremost among them is enhancing people's awareness of environmental problems, spreading democratic awareness and participating in important decisions.
It is a guarantee that it is of comprehensive and equal quality and enhances education opportunities for all.
Students are the main focus in the educational process, which is the main element and the direct reason for the existence and continuity of university education, And one of the most important indicators of human development is understanding a link between the university and society through their acquisition of different skills and behaviors, the development of intellectual capabilities and the development of its ability to achieve the goals of sustainable human development.
The research showed that there is a variation in the indicators of human development in Iraq (Human Development Index) or what is known as an abbreviation (HDI) whose indicators range from zero to the correct one, and its indicators varied at the level of the governorates of Iraq, as Sulaymaniyah Governorate ranked first with a rate of (0.764).
Basra Governorate ranked last with a rate of (0.600) to show the reasons for this difference.
Statistical analysis programs, which were represented by the correlation coefficient, were used to clarify the relationship between both the Human Development Index index and the quality of education index and the population to reach the direct causes of that discrepancy
