English Abstract

These pages will deal with what was written by the Arab traveler Abd al-Masih al-Antaki, who visited Kuwait in 1907 AD, coming from Arabistan where he was working there, from impressions and observations about Kuwait.

Our goal behind that is to understand the spirit of life and what it was in Kuwait in the past, and follow Its history and the development of the political system before the discovery of oil in the Burgan field on February 22, 1938 AD, to serve as a comprehensive reference for those interested in Kuwait affairs, instead of the trips being in scattered books strewn on shelves, some public and private libraries and perhaps, it was not possible for some to obtain them easily, so we wanted That the Antioch trip is ready in research, which can be used directly, without difficulty, as a summary of the history of Kuwait through the eyes of this traveler, in addition to placing a historical document, in front of the present Kuwaiti generation in particular, and the Arab generations whose ancestors passed through the same stage in general, despite There are some differences, to learn about the challenges faced by parents and grandparents and the efforts they made in order to overcome them and make life more prosperous.

Therefore, we hope that the contents of this research will be an incentive for the current generations to continue the path of fathers in building and progress Service to society and the nation.
