Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to identify "designing a strategy based on the mathematical ability and its effect on the basic science processes and the attitudes towards mathematics for the first Intermediate Grade Students " and to verify it two hypotheses were formulated.

The researcher chose the experimental design with the both experimental and control groups with the dimensional test of the search variables.

The research community was represented by first-grade students schools and high schools affiliated to the General Directorate of Education in Baghdad / Al-Karkh 2 for the year (2019-2020).

The research sample consisted of (69) students.

The two groups were rewarded in (previous achievement, previous knowledge, intelligence, time age).

The experiment was applied in the first semester, and the necessary teaching plans were prepared according to the strategy based on mathematical ability.

The research tools were built to test basic science processes consisting of (27) objective paragraphs of a multiple choice type, and an attitudes scale that consisted of (25), and the validity of the two tools was confirmed as well as the extraction of psychometric properties and the results were shown using (t-test ) To the following: The experimental group students who studied according to the strategy based on mathematical ability surpassed the control group students who studied according to the usual method in basic science processes testing and the scale of direction.

Accordingly recommendations and suggestions were submitted.
