When the United States of America approached entering the First World War (1914-1918) on the side of the Entente countries in 1917, many question marks appeared among the public opinion and a number of officials in the country that there were hidden beneficiaries pushing the country to enter the war, and those doubts continued.

Even after the war, especially with the emergence of a number of evidences showing that armaments companies were seeking to participate in the war in order to achieve profits.

The situation developed as a result of the writings of a number of historians and writers who explained to public opinion the costs of the war and the role of financial companies and weapons manufacturers in bringing the country into the furnace of war, in addition to the exorbitant profits they obtained, which prompted a number of senators to submit draft laws seeking to investigate armament companies and their profits.

Illegal during the war and its role in pushing the country towards that war or not, and the Senate approved the formation of the investigation committee in 1934.

The committee investigated the financial and banking interests and the interests of armaments that underlie the US administration's participation in the First World War and revealed to the public one of the most exciting topics at that time.

The committee also sought, in order to deport the United States of America and spare it from participating in any future war, to approve a neutrality law.

Real, it was approved by the Senate in 1935 and the commission continued its investigations until 1936.
