This research aims to reveal the relationship between family guidance and perseverance among middle school students and study the relationship for each of the variables of gender (female, male) and specialization (literary, scientific).

The research sample reached (280) male and female students.

The researcher built the family guidance scale and the perseverance scale that are part of the requirements of the current research.

The guidance scale may consist of three areas: (self-regulation, support independence, warm dealing) and the perseverance scale consists of three areas: (Problem solving, will, challenge) The apparent validity of the scale was verified by presenting it to a group of experts and arbitrators, as well as extracting the discrimination coefficient and the correlation coefficient for the scale items, and thus the scale became in its final form for each of the family guidance scale (50) items, and perseverance (32) items The stability of the scale was calculated using the re-test method, and it amounted to (0.82).

The researcher applied the two scales after verifying the validity and reliability of the scale on the basic research sample of middle school students in Baiji district with literary and scientific specialization, and after collecting information forms, the data were treated statistically using T-test and Pearson correlation coefficient, the researcher reached the following results: 1.

Middle school students have an average level of family guidance.2.

There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the sample members according to the gender variable (female, male) and specialization (literary, scientific) in family guidance.3.

Middle school students enjoy perseverance.4.

There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the sample members on the perseverance scale according to the variable of gender and specialization.
