And since investment disputes between host countries and nationals of other countries constitute an important obstacle to this influx, and just as the survival of these disputes is unresolved, it will affect, to one degree or another, the economic interests of the state that the bank wishes to help, and may ultimately affect the ability of the bank itself On borrowing from financial markets, the World Bank was interested in developing a collective agreement related to the settlement of investment disputes, as a contribution to improving the investment climate in a way that attempts to reduce the confrontation between the host country and the foreign investor country.
