Abstract EN

Phonological studies are one of the branches of linguistics which is an indispensable level of study.

The Arab phonologists have distinguished efforts of study.

One of these phonologists is Muhammad bin Ibraheem Al- Tathefi who is known as (Ibn Al- Hanbali (Died: 971 A.

H)) In His Book the Secret Benefits in Explaining Al-Jazari's Introduction (literally: The secret Benefits of Explanation of Al-Jazari's Introduction).

The researcher intends to collect his opinions regarding articulators which are scattered.

Hence this study comes.

This study has four main sections.

The first section gives an introduction whpreas.

The second one deals with Ibn Al- Hanbali and his book.

The third one comprises an explanation of articulators as they are explained by him, their number and classifications.

The study, in the fourth section, presents the most important conclusions.
