Abstract EN

The tourism sector is considered to be the main nerve for the economy of several industrial countries and the developing countries as well.

Both of the developing and the developed countries view tourism in a different way.

The developed countries seek to use tourism to develop the remote areas, achieve an economic sufficiency, and assure the well-being of its societies.

On the other hand, the developing countries consider tourism as a solid base to establish economic development by encouraging the external tourism that achieves the necessary currency surplus to fund the process of development.

However, the excessive paste of this activity has positive and negative effects on different sides of the country; especially the environmental one.

The increase in the number of tourists has a direct link to the severe exploitation of natural resources and the pollution of natural spaces as well.

On this note, Jijel city, which is one of the most memorizing travel destination in Algeria that joins the beauty of the green nature and the charm of the blue beaches, seeks to develop tourism on the long term and use the natural resources rationally so as to rise to the expectations of the tourist and maintain its appeal on one side, and achieve economic prosperity, social and local well-being, and preserve the rights of the upcoming generations to enjoy renewable natural resources on the other side.
