Abstract EN

The present study aimed to examine the relationship between eating disorders, body image and mother’s food habits among a sample consisted of (500) female students enrolled in the academic year (2018/2019) at World Islamic Sciences & Education University (WISE).

To achieve the study objectives, the researcher used three scales (eating disorders scale, body image, and mother’s food habits).

The results of the study indicated that "anorexia nervosa and thinness" was the most common eating disorder among female students, with a prevalence rate of 76.6%, while the prevalence of bulimia nervosa was 23.4%.

The study results showed statistically significant positive correlation between anorexia, thinness, body image, and mother’s food habits, finally, the study showed statistically significant negative correlation between bulimia nervosa, body image, and mother’s food habits.
