Herat is one of the historical cities that has attracted the attention of many Muslim countrymen, whether by being flattered by the beauty of this city, the glasses of its gardens and the abundance of its water, Or in its geographical location, as it is one of the most important commercial cities in the Khorasan region, and it is a center for the silk trade as it is located on the Silk Road trade link between East and West Asia, Because of its value, it became the focus of the ambitions of the major invading powers of the region of Khorasan and Iran throughout history, including the Mughals who occupied it in 619 AH / 1221 A.

D, and their direct influence over it or through its rulers from the Mongol-loyal Crete until the collapse of the Mughal-Ilkhanid state in 736 AH / 1335 AD.

This occupation of this city and the destruction and rebuilding it witnessed during the reign of Mughal Prince Argun Aqa, And the political events that it witnessed and the fluctuation of the stances of its rulers towards the Kurds towards the Mughal leaders, And the implications of this for the city will be the focus of this study, which we will deal with in details according to the information mentioned by the relevant historical sources and references.
