The city of Athens had an active role in the history of the Greeks and was the center of the Greek civilization that left the deepest impact on the development of mankind.

It was the cradle of democracy in the Hellenic world and the home of progressive tendency that always strives for change and renewal.

The establishment of this democratic system required a huge effort to remain at all times tainted by some defects and many problems resulted.

One of the most beautiful images of that democratic system is the image represented by the Ecclesia General Assembly and its role in establishing democratic thought in Athens, as it had a prominent role in building a country that enjoys a democratic sense, and in light of that came the research titled (Ecclesia General Assembly in Athens) divided On two topics, the first included the bylaw of the association and its work, as well as the decisions that were taken with its approval, while the second topic dealt with the tasks of the Ecclesiastes Association, and the commission that emerged from it.
