Search: The research aims to diagnose the obstacles to rural development in Al-Qadisiyah governorate and to study the possibility of overcoming them by utilizing the available capabilities, Through the study, he found a number of obstacles that made the countryside a repellent and unproductive region, resulting in migration, unemployment and poverty, As the governorate's rural population declined from (47% ) for the year 1997 to (43% ) for the year 2018, And he must take these obstacles into consideration by the relevant authorities and strive to reduce them, For example, there is the possibility of investing all the arable land and reclaiming the non-cultivated land, with a focus on using modern irrigation techniques to counter the scarcity of water in places and reduce soil waterlogging in another places due to traditional irrigation methods.

As there are (2% ) of the area of soils in the governorate gypsum and desert and (5% ) of them are sandy, Likewise, it is necessary to work on developing community services and infrastructure services that suffer from a clear deficiency in their preparation and efficiency, especially educational, especially secondary schools, where there is a deficit of (27 high schools).

In addition to the deficit in girls 'schools in particular at the primary and secondary levels of education, there is also a shortage in the number of health centers (16 health centers) for the year 2018, Concerning paved transportation methods in rural areas, the amount of the deficit reached (2405 km) compared to the size of the population, In addition to the deterioration of the drinking water network and its low efficiency, and that the deficiency in these services constituted the most important obstacles to rural development in the governorate, It is possible to adopt development strategies in line with the population size to overcome these obstacles and advance the rural reality.
