Tourism has not been a national industry but a regional and global industry.

Companies andmultinational tourism agencies around the world have realized that the rapid development ofthe era of globalization has seen great growth in the tourism sector and a huge increase in thenumber of tourists، And historical، archeological، religious، heritage and environmental sites.

There is a pressing need to find appropriate planning for tourism development and the introductionof the principle of sustainability، as this principle was introduced in all sectors of businessand industries to achieve a balance between development and environmental protection.

Today، as a result of the various tourism activities، the sites of natural beauty that God hasgiven to the people to enjoy are becoming a threat.

The aim of sustainable tourism developmentis to provide the same opportunities for future and successive generations to enjoy this beautyby sustaining all the tourist and environmental sites and not tampering with them.

(WTO)، which is the primary sponsor of tourism، is developing alternative development strategies toreduce concerns about environmental impact and should develop integrated tourism visions andthe development of integrated regional management Tourism and capacity building for tourismsector employees through training to achieve sustainable tourism activities.

In this context، the idea of preparing a tourism study dealing with the environment and tourismdevelopment around the holy province of Karbala has been crystallized in proportion to theenormous pressure that this city is subjected to in large numbers of millions in certain visits، most importantly the visit of the Imam Hussein، peace be upon him
