Abstract EN

The research studies the opinions of one of Al-Kufa Grammar greatest scientists (Al-Farra' who died at 207 Hijri), in his book The Meanings and Methods Clarifications of the explanation of Ibn Malik Thousand Verse (Alfiyat Ibn Malik) which was written by Al-Muradi (died at 749 Hijri).

Al-Farra' studied the Grammar opinions which he solely put for the Language Three Sections which were studied in three Unites: the First of which was dedicated for his opinions about the names, the Second was for his opinions and the Third was dedicated for his opinions about letters words.

The research shows Al-Farra' unique personality and his outstanding accuracy, precision and high ability simplify problems and to scientifically discuss them based on the available evidences and proves which he derived from the Holly Quran, the Prophetic Hadith and the Arabic Language Verses and Texts, in addition to the fact that he was the only one who had a group of ideas based on which he disagreed with both Al-Basrah and Al-Kufa Schools.

The research took into consideration the ways that Al-Farra' followed in his disagreement with the scientists of his own Grammar School, and that he tends –sometimes- to agree with Al-Basrah scientists.

Al-Farra opinions had not been limited to Al-Kufa Grammar books which was represented by one of its best scientist after him, but Al-Basrah Grammar as well had its good share of these opinions.

It was shown through research that some of those who explained the Thousand Verse (Alfiyat Ibn Malik) and others who were interested in this field tend to follow the generalization way in relevant to assigning a group of Al-Farra' opinions to Al-Kufa Scientists and vice versa.

We found that some had assigned Al-Kufa Scientists opinions to him in addition to the disagreement of most of them with him in many issues because they tend to agree with Al-Basrah School.
