Abstract EN

This article is concerned with the idealist experimentalist philosopher George Berkeley's philosophy of language; it is carried out by evidentially reviewing a number of clear clues in the light of his language philosophy, and the way he discusses the ideas of philosophers prior to his time.

Moreover, the purpose of this article is to clarify Berkeley's analytical discussions and his theory of names, language, and ideas; it also tackles Berkeley's discussions of the mathematical and scientific language.

Last, it highlights what he introduces as visual language which, apart from his philosophical approach, he considers as extremely fascinating, as it describes «eye language» as the language of love and sense.
