Abstract EN

The aim of this research is to analyze and diagnose the spatial distribution and suitability of educational services sites in the Southern Mazar District.

GIS analytical tools have been used to analyze the proximity of primary and secondary schools and their proximity to roads، valleys، gas stations and the degree of slope of the earth for each school.

These standards were given marks of (10) according to distances between schools، or by fulfilling the requirement of the standard.

The results showed that the number of inappropriate schools in the district is (15) out of (86)، while the number of ideal and appropriate schools (30)، which shows that a number of schools were randomly selected sites without attention to international and local standards.

Therefore، it was recommended to rehabilitate schools that do not meet the standards as possible، and to pay attention to consider these standards for any future educational school location.
