The city of AL-Hindia is one of the most important urban centers in the province of Karbala after the holy city of Karbala, the city grew on the banks of the Euphrates by 1575 as a small village on the eastern side of the Euphrates and derived the characteristics of spatial character of the elements of its geographical location.

Between the cities of the Middle Euphrates and the cities of the South, this agricultural metropolis underwent four morphological stages, in which its urban structure and spatial character were developed through which urban land used urbanized systems, especially its community service sector, which combined its development with the development of the city morphology.

The third morphological stage was the most prominent period in the age of the city.

The city was formed by its urban character, which was described by the administration as belonging to Karbala district, which contributed to the development of urban land use systems.

The prominent figure of the city of AL- Hindia was formed in the fourth morphological stage the city through which emerged with its urban institutions.
