The research aims to identify the effect of banking merger on increasing the competitiveness of Iraqi banks, and the research has reached many results, including a rise in the level of awareness of workers in Iraqi banks on the positive impact of the banking merger process on the level of the performance of Iraqi banks and increase the competitiveness of these banks, whether at the local level or the level.

On the regional and global levels, there is a direct correlational relationship of statistical significance between the variable of banking integration and the competitiveness of Iraqi banks and its dimensions represented in (focus strategy, strategy of excellence, cost strategy), which shows that the process of banking integration of Iraqi banks operating in the Iraqi banking sector contributes to increasing competitiveness For these banks, which makes them able to meet all customer needs efficiently and effectively.
