The importance of this research lies in investigating the apparent anxiety and hidden anxiety and their impact on the player's performance within local or international competitions.

Many psychological pressures accompany the player before and during the match, so the aim of the research is to identify the state of anxiety in sports competitions and its reflection on the player's performance.

The researcher hypotheses a close correlation between anxiety and the player's performance and used the descriptive approach as well as a special questionnaire method to indicate the level of anxiety associated with the player's performance in competitions.

The researcher concluded that there is an inverse relationship between anxiety and the player's performance, and the researcher recommended that athletes should be trained psychologically to face the state of anxiety and reduce its negative consequences on the player's performance.
