Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to identify the use of the Internet by Iraqi university students for preliminary studies, as well as the nature of the relationship between the students and their use of the Internet.

Achieving the objectives of the study A questionnaire was designed to study the field of the study problem for testing and finding optimal solutions.

All questionnaires were conducted in two electronic forms, Pass for each student according to the stage of study and enter through it and conduct the questionnaire once.

The study sample included 80 students (20) students for each stage (level) and were selected randomly from the students of the Faculty of Education for Girls University of Basrah.

The study also focused on the students of the first and fourth stage.

The study sample (80) was tested and 80 questionnaires were retrieved (100% ).

The study found out the disadvantages and positives of the Internet for students.

The research also raised many questions about the inability to communicate and continuous development without the net.

The researcher reached a major result was the agreement of the sample of the need for the availability of Internet for students of preliminary studies as well as the highest and indispensable to solve the exercises and duties.

And communication with the outside world through lectures and research also shows that the new students do not possess the basics and methodology of using the Internet.
