Abstract EN

This study aims at measuring the impact of the internal factors influencing the decision to choose the financial structure for the insurance companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange over the period 2010-2016.

This study adapted panel data analysis techniques to test the hypotheses.

The main finding of this study is, in one hand, an increase in the size of the company and the proportion of its tangible assets lead to an increase in its ability to debt financing.

whereas, the most profitable companies have low dependence on debt financing.

The results, also, show that the growth rate is negative but insignificant.

The study recommended that the insurance companies' need to evaluate the decision to choose the financial structure to ensure the positive impact of such decision on the financial performance.
