Etude sociologique du phénomène du crime organisé en Algérie

Abstract EN

Through this article, we try to study the size of organized crime in Algerian society, according to the available data, where we present the most important types of crimes such as; the crime of smuggling which has increased in recent years in our society, especially in border areas.

This phenomenon has become a heavy burden on the state budget, since contraband products are subsidized products intended for local consumption that the state imports in hard currency, In addition to the crime of drug trafficking and consumption, which has become a threat to the social fabric due to the increase in the phenomenon of drug addiction which affects all strata of society without exception, the phenomenon of illegal immigration.

Algeria is one of the countries suffering from the spread of this phenomenon, according to statistics released by the National directorate of the Gendarmerie, where these data indicate an increase in this phenomenon in recent years.
