Arabic Abstract

هدفت الدرراسة إلى بيان مستوى الاحتياجات الارشادية لمزارعي نخيل المجهول لمكافحة سوسة النخيل الحمراء، و شمل مجتمع الدراسة 166 مزارع في منطقة الأغوار الوسطى من غور الأردن، و لضمان دقة الحصول على البيانات.

تم استخدام منهج الوصف التحليلي لتحليل نتائج الدراسة.

الشارت البيانات في الدراسة إلى تقارب المستوى التعليمي لمزارعي تخيل المجهول في منطقة الدراسة، حيث بلغت نسبة الحاصلين على المستوى التعليمي الجامعي 26.3% و 21.9% من حملة شهادة التعليم الثانوي و 24.8% من حملة شهادة التعليم الأساسي و 27% ممن يقراء و يكتب.

و هذا يشير إلى أنه كلما زادت درجة تعليم المزارع كلما زادت إمكانية تعاملة مع المستجدات، و قد بينت الدراسة أن 43% لديهم خبرة كافية في مجال زراعة النخيل لأكثر من 20 سنة.

وقد بلغ من خلال الدراسة أن معرفة المزارعين بحشرة سوسة النخيل 3.04 درجة.

كما بلغ متوسط معرفة المزارعين بمخاطر سوسة النخيل 2.67 درجة و الوسط الحسابي لها .53%.

وأشارت الدراسة إلى أن 39% فقط من المزارعين يرون أن و زارة الزراعة تولي أهمية بالغة لمكافحة هذه الحشرة، و قد بلغ المتوسط الحسابي 92% للمزارعين اللذين يرون بأن أسعار المدخلات الزراعية مرتفعة.

English Abstract

The aim of the study was to demonstrate the level of indicative needs of unknown palm farmers to combat red palm weevil.

The study population included 166 farmers in the central Jordan Valley region of the Jordan Valley, and to ensure accurate data acquisition.

An analytical description approach was used to analyze the study results.

The data in the study indicated the convergence of the educational level of unknown palm farmers in the study area, where the percentage of those with a university education level reached 26.3 ,and 21.9% of holders of secondary education certificate and 24.8% of holders of a basic education certificate.

And 27% of those who read and write .

This indicates that the higher the degree of farmer education, the greater the possibility of dealing with novelties, and the study showed that 43% have sufficient experience in the field of palm cultivation for more than 20 years.

Through the study, the farmers' knowledge of the date palm weevil was 3.04.

The average knowledge of farmers about the dangers of palm weevil was 2.67 degrees, and the mean for it was 53%.

The study indicated that only 39% of farmers believe that the Ministry of Agriculture attaches great importance to combating this insect, and the arithmetic average has reached 92% for farmers who believe that the prices of agricultural inputs are high.

Accordingly, the study recommends increasing interest in the sector, in particular unknown farmers, and conducting training courses that increase farmer knowledge to fight palm weevil.
