Abstract EN

The majority of states seek to achieve solidarity among their members in one society, and to develop the spirit of national belonging through the dedication of participatory democracy, and this is achieved only by involving citizens in decision-making in various aspects of life, particularly social ones, within the framework of the sustainable development plan, especially in its social division lined up by states, and the research aims to highlight the efforts of states, especially Algeria, to practically enshrine participatory democracy as the best way to achieve sustainable social development.

The research concluded that Algeria knows a delay in the practical dedication of participatory democracy as a tool for achieving sustainable social development, where the role of citizens is particularly limited to collective activity.
