The linguistic faculty is one of the most important linguistic phenomena in the past, and one of the most attractive to researchers in the field of language education and sociolinguistics recently.

It is the basic nucleus that scholars care about because of its great importance in the cultural hegemony today, with its various educational, deliberative, political and economic dimensions.

There is no doubt that the environment has a role in activating the linguistic faculty.

This is what was treated by early linguists such as Al-Jarjani, the Brothers of Al-Safa, Ibn Khaldun and others.

From this point of view, we have studied a comparison of ways to impart and acquire the faculty between ancient Arab scholars and modern scholars to reach the most important causes of the recent linguistic faculty weakness in addition to indicating the most important means by which learners acquire a strong and discreet linguistic faculty that enables them to perform its entrusted functions such as reporting, communication, and the ability to create sound grammatical sentences in terms of meaning and structure.
