Through this study, we wanted to present a sociological analysis to the Sunni-Shiite conflict, from the point of view of the Iraqi sociologist Ali Al-Wardi who believes that the origin of this conflict is primarily political, like the struggle of the parties in our time; It is also a struggle between idealism and realism, or what al-Wardi calls the dilemma of Islam, An analogy to the dilemma of the Church; and This is what happened in the conflict on the level of Christianity, before Islam.

Because conflict is the feature that distinguishes all human societies and is the secret of people's progress and development, as it can only be considered a healthy phenomenon even if it has negatives.
