This paper studies the effects of the behavior of normal strength square concrete (NSC) columns confined by carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets.
Six reinforced concrete columns of dimensions (100mmx100mmx1200mm) have been casted and tested, those samples have been subjected to uniaxial compression load (eccentricity=0.5b) up to failure.
Included the study the impact of three parameters which are the CFRP distribution (5 strips and fully wrapping), column slenderness ratio (40, 30) and steel reinforcement ratio (ρ= 0.0113, 0.0314, 0.0678).
